Colorful Metaphor: Who we are
Colorful Metaphor is a guild started by a group of four friends that have been playing online games together for about 4 years now. (CounterStrike: Source, Tribal Wars, Etc.) Currently, we are recruiting players that are ready to head into Ice Crown Citadel. We look for players that like to have fun (why else are you playing the game?) but not at the expense of others (respect and maturity towards progression are two things we require. You may want to have a healthy dose of IMMATURITY in vent, too! :) As we work our way through end-game content we will continue to help each other as well as offer our experience and knowledge to our recruits.
You will find members on at almost all times, with the majority of our players being on between 8 am and 2 am server. Our raid times are Thursday/Friday/Saturday at 8pm server. We raid 3 hours on Thursday and 4 hours on Friday and Saturday. Other days/times you will find us hitting up 10 man content, checking out old school raids, PVP'ing, farming mats for raids, or just kicking back on vent, talking, having a good time, and hopping around in the bank! Raiders are expected to attend 75% of raids and should not pug any current content. If, however, we don't have something done by Sunday, by all means, pug away!
Where are we currently? We are through the first 7 bosses in ICC and Professor Putricide is on notice! (We have had him down to 4% a couple of times now.)
If you are interested in joining up, fill out an application and we'll usually contact you within 24 hours. Please note that we have a 17+ age policy, except in the case of family members. However, please be aware that this is an adult guild and be forewarned that adult content may be present.

Update for May, 2010

Well, life has been pretty crazy over the last few months so...there have not been many updates since we were in - Ulduar? Really? DAMN!!!! I have been SLACKING on this website!
OK...so, yes, we got through MOST of Ulduar before ToC came out, and we got through ToC pretty well. NOW we are working on Putricide and soon we'll start working on the Blood Wing. I expect we will be 10/12 within the next few weeks.
I will work on updating pictures and dates as I have time (which will be more and more now that the summer is almost here!) |

Ignis and Auriaya - DOWN!
|
So, after having about 7 of our guildies get DC'd while we were working on Ignis (mind you, we had been working on him for a few attempts that evening, and things were going very well - 50% with the whole raid still up) we had to cut our losses and call it a night. (We waited for probably 30 or more minutes, but they could not log back in.)
On Saturday, we marched back in and started working him down. Even though we had a few more DC issues, Ignis finally went down with only 24 raiders!
We went forward and took out Kologarn, and then on to Iron Council. We were low on time, and had to put it off until Sunday. That was OK though, we one shot it on Sunday, and then went forward to work on Auriaya.
Four attempts later, and we were on our way to start learning Hodir! Hey, Hodir! You hear us? CM is coming to take you down next week!

Boss Progression Module

You may notice that the webpage has changed a bit lately, and I wanted to point out a new feature: The Boss Progression module. It is that box over on the top-right. You can click on the instance names and it will drop down and show you what bosses have been downed. Next, click on a boss and it'll take you to the date and picture of the boss kill. Please note that there are a few missing shots - I will work to find those as I have time.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the new look and features!
